Working as a JDA WMS Discrete specialist with extensive experience on all versions from 2009 onwards with recent go live experience of 9.1+. I acted as a trusted advisor to organisations wishing to implement JDA WMS or upgrade to a later version. My role is to capture business requirements, lead design sessions, configure the WMS as well as provide testing, training and go live support.

As the functional lead for Specsavers global JDA WMS program (versions 9.1 and 2017) my role was to achieve the global WMS design, build and deployment for all warehouses across the estate. As the solution architect I had to leverage knowledge of the JDA WMS application as well as business process to achieve a set of global design templates that can be deployed rapidly to different warehouses across the world. Coupled with an Oracle EBS ERP deployment my role required stakeholder management between the two programs as well as managing senior stakeholders within the business. Working with external partners, independent contractors and off shore resources I provided leadership and direction to ensure the all aspects of the project life cycle from design through to go live were delivered on time.

Working in the Supply Chain IT department I perform a hybrid Business Analyst / Functional Consultant role leading the functional design & configuration of JDA WMS Discrete v8.2.Working to a global design template, using clever design and configuration to avoid modification I am leading the business through the change by leveraging my operational & WMS knowledge as well as business analysis best practice. Specific tasks include gathering and documenting requirements, facilitating and leading design workshops, configuring the WMS and delivering iterative Conference Room Pilots to the business. Using my extensive project and operational experience I take a lead role in guiding the business through all stages of the project life cycle including testing, training, go live readiness and beyond. Prior to this project I was the lead BA in the deployment of Oracle WMS as part of a wider Oracle E-Business Suite project where I performed a similar role working alongside an Oracle functional consultant.

BSKYB NATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTREI was the operational lead for the implementation of RedPrairie’s Dispatcher system for three distribution centres and 123 satellite sites across the UK. During this time I formed the bridge between the operational processes and the IT systems. The success of the reverse logistics processes contributed in no small part to UTL winning the Set Top Box repair contract in 2009 from the incumbent provider. My area of responsibility increased to cover inbound operations, handling smooth intake of c600 pallets per day. Operational responsibilities increased further to support outbound engineer and direct to home picking. Key projects included: Leading the operational go live of SKY Broadband and SKY HD by delivering increased operational capacity and agility. Learning the tools and techniques of the Unipart Way I became a lean practitioner specialising in business process re-engineering to deliver enhanced efficiencies across the operation

Liaising with recruitment partners to achieve staffing staffing levels to match the fluctuating daily demand

This role was to plan the deployment of the weekend team and deliver productivity across the operation to agreed KPIs. This role involved all aspects of people and operations management on behalf of a major high street retailer. I performed this role at the weekend whilst working full time during the week on the final year of my BA (Hons) Business Studies course at University College Northampton.
