RDF Group provides high quality IT solutions and software consultancy to their clients.ProjectsDeveloped an intuitive web application (to be used internally to RDF) using JQuery, JSP, Spring MVC REST and MongoDB. Development also included using Gherkin, Cucumber and Selenium to trial Behaviour Driving Development (BDD) methodology.Developed a proof of concept Google Glass application for a client using Android Development Toolkit \ Glass Development Kit with a backend application consisting of Spring MVC REST webservices.Worked on the development of a fully responsive front end for an existing web application in the financial services sector using Java, JSF2.0 (Faces), JQuery, HTML5 and CSS.Worked for Avios Group (part of the IAG group and formerly known as Airmiles) on the rebranding and development of the loyalty scheme website using Java, Spring, EJB3.0, Maven and Oracle. My team were also responsible for the development of a web tool, integrated into multiple partner sites, allowing the transfer of Avios between the IAG partners. I also took on the role of team scrum master.Worked for a global aircraft charter company using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to implement data migration scripts to migrate between international database instances. Worked for Northern Rock on the development of a customer facing multi-tiered E-Commerce application using Java 1.4, EJB2.0, StrutsCX, XSLT, IBatis, Oracle, Weblogic and Selenium Core/RC.

My role involved developing a distributed client-server Java implementation adhering to a military standard in the geographic reconnaissance\intelligence domain.My role included the following responsibilities:Estimating software tasks/milestones.Managing team workload towards milestones.Interviewing new engineers – both for my team and for the company generally.Participation in a number of international NATO interoperability meetings and conferences.

Development of a Java/Swing policy-based networking tool aimed at allowing management to easily specify Quality Of Service (QoS) across an organisation
