Member of the executive leadership team, reporting to the Managing Director. Responsible for Multiplex’s Data Centre and Life Science projects within the UK. Operational oversight for J.P.Morgan’s new Glasgow office (Argyle Street). The project is a 15-storey, 270,000 sq ft commercial office building. Including CAT B Fitout.

As the New Business Director Andy was responsible for replenishing the businesses workbook and played an integral role developing a pipeline of work in excess of £5bn which included converting £1bn into orders. During this time Andy formed strong relationships with investors, developers, cost and project management consultants, architects, and engineers.

Reporting to the CEO, Andy was tasked with establishing Multiplex in the data centre sector which at the time was a new market for the UK business. Andy led the businesses efforts in developing a strategic plan which included establishing an understanding of the market, connecting with decision makers, developing a pipeline of work and recruiting a project team.

Reporting into the CEO, Andy’s role was to look outside of Multiplex’s core markets with the aim of finding a path to growth. This led to reviewing both geographic opportunities and sector opportunities, many of which were via Multiplex’s existing customer base. Andy spent time on the ground in Canada, the USA and Denmark and successfully negotiated two formal engagements.

Andy was responsible for the safe delivery of projects on-time, within budget and to a high level of quality. Often this involved the management and coordination of large workforces. Andy was a member of the BCO NextGen London committee for 5 years. This included a one-year term as the Chair. In his role as Chair, Andy led 15 committee members and established a clear strategy and direction for the group. The strategy was structured around 4 focus areas in which initiatives and events were all tailored around.
