Municipal collections contracts management in both rural and urban delivery environments, successful development of commercial waste and recycling collections, operational support to bid teams with responsibility for integrated contract mobilisation planning and depot strategy, full P&L responsibility for 3 contracts with value of c£14M p.a,

Overall management responsibility for the Barnet Contract including full P&L, legislative, personnel, fleet, health and safety and environmental management. OHSAS18001:2007 accreditation and maintaining accreditation to ISO9001 and ISO14001. Apr to Jun 2008 also General Manager for a joint venture in Doncaster, South Yorkshire (Dawn Environmental Ltd) delivering kerbside recycling to 68,000 households and developing a commercial waste & recycling operation. General management responsibility for• Identified and drove through further efficiency measures at Barnet to ensure over performance on budgeted profit.• Quickly identified major management problems in Doncaster in all areas. Recruited and mentored a new management team in a 3 month timeframe.• Part of tender team and won a new 5+2 year contract with London Borough of Barnet. Increased quantity of materials collected, redesigned and managed build of Barnet’s transfer station.• Member of ECT’s vehicle development team which designed and bespoke built a new Resource Recovery Vehicle first deployed on the new Barnet contract.

Initially responsible for Eve Trakway GmbH operations throughout Northern Germany ranging from sourcing clients and initial discussions with them through site visit and planning, to after sales on completion of site work. Repatriated to the UK in 2000 and responsible for running all aspects of Eve Trakway’s Barriers Division in London and South East United Kingdom. • Exceeded budgeted targets throughout tenure.• Developed client base from £1.3M annual turnover to over £2.5M.• Relationship management with all clients including Metropolitan Police, The London Marathon, Glastonbury Festivals.• Achieved ISO9001, ISO14001 accreditation.

Left the Army as a Sergeant. Served in the UK, Germany and partook in the first Gulf War in 1991 being awarded the Gulf War Medal with Clasp.
