Throughout my professional life, I have worked with a determined persistence to increase profits and market share for the companies I serve, and my track record demonstrates this success. I have consistently worked to be the expert in all areas of my position, from hands-on work in the field to consulting with corporate to better understand client expectations. This has given me a well-rounded approach to managing my team and producing results, and afforded me both the breadth and depth I needed as my management reach has grown and I took on increasingly larger organizations and more responsible leadership roles.What distinguishes me as a manager is just this mix of technical know-how and first-hand track record. Leading my teams in the field has given me detailed understanding of what is involved to accomplish the goal from the most basic store level functions to determining the needs of the client. My ability to deliver consistently high (and award winning) results across large organizations with many field reps, has rested on my proactive, strategic and anticipatory communication style. When I look at a store to determine how to better increase profits, I understand the reporting and sales numbers, but also seek to appreciate how the day-to-day functions and leadership can be improved. I have a demonstrated history of effectively coaching both the store leaders and staff to accomplish these ends. Outside of work, my largest achievement and challenge has been as a volunteer for Pierce County Search and Rescue. In the time I spent there, I advanced to a Navigation Course Director and Operations Leader. I helped save lives, brought closure to families, and trained recruits. I took part in many missions, all of which had their own set of challenges. As one of a small group of senior leaders, I was tasked with organizing and leading weekend-long wilderness training involving organizing the wilderness survival, navigation and mock search training for more than 60 new trainees. As an OL, I was responsible for planning, executing and leading searches: establishing teams, developing and executing search strategy and tactics, and working closely with the Sheriff's department to determine direction and distance of travel for best deployment in the field.
