As Marketing Director, I am responsible for developing and managing all marketing, public relations and business development activities. For this start-up company, I developed marketing materials, presentation templates, as well as a marketing plan. I design, write, and produce proposals and presentations, and attend presentations. With skills in graphics software, I also assist in producing signage and color renderings for our projects. As Director of Administration, I am responsible for daily operations of a 10 person office, including supervision of employees, project coordination, accounting, human resources, and general office functions. I am currently a member of Triangle CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) and served on the Board of Directors as the Special Events Officer. I am also a member of the Youngsville Area Business Association, and am actively involved on the downtown revitalization committee.

Prior to my employment, EDA had no full-time marketing personnel. My duties included development of standard procedures and marketing materials for use in this headquarters office, as well as three other branch office locations. I coordinated marketing efforts with the principals and department managers, and spearheaded a “Marketing Committee” for development of a marketing plan. I initiated use of computer graphics and database software to improve production and efficiency, as well as enhance the look of all marketing materials.

As Marketing Coordinator, I was responsible for preparation and coordination of business development and marketing needs, primarily in the Raleigh office. Coordination with and travel to other office locations in the Southeast was also required. I served as editor of the company newsletter from October 1988 thru December 1990. Elected to the Corporate Q+ Team as part of the Total Quality Management Program, and served as the Head of the Education Subcommittee.
