Writing has always been an important part of my life and I was a journalist for 13 years before changing careers and launching my own business, Creative Calligraphy, in May 2014.I was introduced to calligraphy by my art teacher at secondary school and I have been honing my craft ever since. I now get to share my love and knowledge of 'the art of beautiful writing' via a wide range of commissions and workshops.I am a member of the Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society (CLAS) and my weekly classes are CLAS affiliated. I run workshops in several regular venues in the north east and on behalf of organisations such as The Cultural Spring, Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums, Newcastle Arts Centre and The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle. And I love collaborating with other artists!
