Author of a book series aimed at showcasing the richness that lies within our world whilst also supporting diversity and acceptance. The series follow a young boy called Sebbie as he travels around the world and discovers new countries through his interactions with a local girl. In each edition, Sebbie soaks up the culture of the particular country where the local girl happily introduces him to her way of life by discussing traditions, food, clothing, festivals and more.

Involved in the overall delivery of the Governance, Risk and Control solution for Visa Europe as well as provided oversight and management of the internal audit function at Visa Europe. Responsible for producing and presenting the risk reporting to the various Senior Executive Committees and providing advice.

Project Manager/Business Analysis - Responsible for project managing the delivery of the Control Framework solution for Visa Europe and managing enhancements to the risk management tool. This involved capturing business requirements, managing vendors, performing feasibility assessments and co-ordinating the overall delivery of the solution throughout the project lifecycle. I facilitated numerous workshops and training sessions as well as performed demonstrations to senior stakeholders across the organisation. Business Analysis - I performed a review of all services provided by the different departments in the division in order to streamline current risk services and achieve efficiencies. This included liaising with senior stakeholders in the business to understand and map the different risk/compliance assessments performed by their areas. I formulated the strategy that has been used to determine the future roadmap of the division.Also provided risk advice on various projects and to divisions as required.

Risk Management/Project Management - I have been responsible for providing guidance and oversight to major transformational programmes. This involved risk identification and quantification as well as the implementation of mitigating controls within agreed timeframes. I acted as the liaison between Technology and the business to ensure key risks were understood and reported to the required stakeholders. I also attended steering committees and provided input to key decisions.

Joined NAB’s Risk department as a Technology Risk Partner. During my time at NAB, I have been involved on various programs of work, primarily the bank’s transformation program (the largest in Australia), wealth management projects and the Technology investment prioritisation program. Involved in standardising key risk processes to achieve increased process maturity. I also implemented processes to provide a risk and control overlay of key Technology processes (e.g. change management) including the development of an engagement model.

As an Assistant Manager, I was responsible for the planning and execution of multiple concurrent client engagements, including agreeing the scope and approach with clients, developing internal budgets and work plans, organising resourcing requirements, managing junior resources, managing relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external) and ensuring all work was delivered on time and on budget. I was also involved in the performance management of junior resources including conducting performance reviews and providing career guidance. Over the four years, I was involved in a wide variety of client engagements including the development and deployment of a control framework for the department of Defence, Basel II readiness reviews, external and internal audits, post and pre implementation project reviews and business process analysis. In addition, I was an active member of several internal groups and involved in the development of the Financial Services LOB strategy and plan for FY09.
