I am a fourth year student at Colorado School of Mines pursuing an undergraduate degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. I decided to study Metallurgical and Materials Engineering as a major because of my interest in the chemistry of metals and solid materials, and I am in the process of learning more about different types of materials and how they are processed and used for different applications. As of this semester, Fall 2024, I am taking major related classes such as Metallurgical and Materials Kinetics and Powder Processing, and many of my classes currently and in the past have had lab elements, so I am very familiar with working in a lab environment. I currently have one on-campus job and am involved in many on-campus activities such as CSMMAC (Colorado School of Mines Materials Advantage Chapter) and Acapella at Mines, which has allowed me to build time management skills. I am proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel, and have experience with other programs such as Solidworks and MATLAB. I have a lot of experience with both writing reports and giving presentations, so I am comfortable and confident in my communication skills. I am well adjusted to working in group settings, and am able to both communicate my own ideas and listen to other peoples’ ideas when working on a project.
