Growing up in southern Maryland surrounded by farmers and watermen; I learned to harvest and prepare food as part of daily life. Gathering for celebrations and sharing the bounty of the Chesapeake and our gardens and fields is what I have always enjoyed the most! With an education and some experience after college as a CPA, I was primed and ready to take my childhood love affair with food and parties to a professional level! It was late 1992 when I realized my true calling was in the catering and events field, where I could express my creative nature, and utliize my connections to farmers, watermen, and chefs by designing and hosting celebrations and parties. I have spent almost three decades creating and developing Herrington on the Bay. Herrington now offers two premiere, waterfront event venues, a culinary team focused on local cuisine and a professional team of event experts. Our guests enjoy a flavor of the Chesapeake region, a view of the Chesapeake Bay in an eco-lifestyle, family owned marina resort called Herrington Harbour South. The waterfront Inn offers overnight luxury lodging for our out of town guests. A veteran team of experts continues to grow the repertoire of services that Herrington on the Bay offers. It is with great admiration and trust that I have moved in to the Visionary, Creative, and now Operational stages of Honey's Harvest Permaculture Farm.
