Conceived of and managed the execution of a 5k fundraising run in honor of my best friend who passed away from Leukemia my junior year of high school. Run averages around 500 participants per year and raises around $7,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Managed event advertising with a variety of media channels (local television, radio, newspaper, and social media). Enlisted approx. 70 volunteers to assist with event execution (food vendors, decorations, music band, course setup); coordinated process with local YMCA.
