As a sailor, I have learned important lessons that have shaped my whole life. Commitment, resolution, and accountability are just a few of the qualities that have become second nature to me through my experiences on the open water. In 2023, I achieved a significant milestone in my career by being appointed as the first Italian sailing international judge woman.In addition to my passion for sailing, I have pursued a strong academic background, earning a master's degree in law and specialization in international maritime law and business. This knowledge has been invaluable in my professional career, especially during my time working at the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority in Venice.During my tenure at the port authority, I held various roles including responsibility for general affairs, planning, programming, and contract management. I also served as the Data Protection Officer and was responsible for managing public access to documents and the insurance authority portfolio trough the insurance broker. Collaborating with the quality manager, I ensured that all operations ran smoothly and efficiently.In 2019, I made the transition to working at Frontex in the capacity building division. As a certified project manager and contract manager, I now serve as a programming and planning officer. This role allows me to utilize my skills and expertise in a new and challenging environment.Overall, my journey from sailor to international judge and professional in the maritime industry has been a rewarding and fulfilling experience.
