This role emphasizes leadership, communication and teamwork, knowledge of trail skills and quotas, and wilderness skills.

Responsible for managing daily operations during a busy summer season of incoming and outgoing canoe groups. Daily tasks included scheduling of staff and guests, management of staff wellbeing and preparedness, reporting to director needs, facilitating group discussions with youth, administering and computing reported evaluations of guests and staff, and much much more. This role necessitated flexibility, attentiveness, decisiveness, and a prioritization of the camp's mission on a daily basis.
