My name is Anna and I am a Level II student in the Integrated Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences Program at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Throughout my life, I have searched for the meaning of life and my purpose in this world. There is no easy answer to this question. I am certain about my desire to change the world for the better and help people in any way I can. I am particularly interested in science, especially biomedical engineering and chemistry. I want to use my knowledge to make a significant impact in medical research. My grandfather, a biomedical computer scientist, inspired me with his work on a robotic hand for heart surgery. I understand, the path will be challenging, but I am determined to overcome any obstacles. I am a compassionate person who takes on the feelings of others and strives to help them. As an engineer, I can provide innovative solutions to problems. I believe I have what it takes to become an engineer and make a positive impact on people's lives through it!
