Stafford

Led the commissioning of education and skills provision for children, young people and adults across Staffordshire, covering 400 schools and education settings. From early years provision, through education including SEN, on to adult education and apprenticeships, provided leadership on strategy, policy, planning, funding, quality and outcomes. Delivered strategic change and efficiency programmes. Also led on a portfolio of wellbeing commissions, from information and advice to community services.

Wide-ranging portfolio of public health prevention programmes, spanning from child health and wellbeing through to drug and alcohol programmes, community services, healthy lifestyles, smoking cessation and obesity. Led the new strategy for public health transferring back to Local Authority control, and transformation of Supporting People programmes.

Responsible for post 16 education and skills provision, leading on further and higher education links, devising skills strategy, notably leading on education business link and the Local Enterprise Partnership for Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent.

Stoke-On-Trent, United Kingdom

Working across Staffordshire and Stoke, and prior to that Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, duties covered planning, funding and performance management across a portfolio of post 16 and adult learning and skills programmes. With key links to FE and apprenticeship sectors, school sixth forms and adult, community learning providers, led relationship management teams, specialist functions, and lead in local learning partnerships.
