I have worked in the NHS since 2004, I qualified as a paediatric nurse in 2007. I had a successful career in the paediatric intensive care unit at Birmingham children’s hospital. Where I developed from the Novice newly qualified staff nurse to the Expert Junior Sister, leaving the clinical environment officially in 2020. In intensive care I developed my team leadership skills, assessing and mentoring students in practice. Leading in advanced emergency management of ALTE and cardiac arrest of complex patients. I trained as an ECMO specialist nurse, KIDS retrieval nurse; moving critically sick children from general hospitals to designated intensive care units in the UK. I have advanced airway management skills, ventilation weaning, advanced life support training and more. I went on to become the clinical lead trainer for the electronic prescribing system at BWCH, ensuring the safety and risks were mitigated in the safe rollout of the project. In addition, I trained in Aesthetic medicine in 2022, supporting individuals in aesthetic benefits including improved mental wellbeing. I left the NHS in 2022, continuing my Education career at BPP University as a Nurse coach and lecturer. Here I have obtained my Associate Fellowship in higher education teaching (AFHEA), and I will obtain full Fellowship by the end of 2024. As an advocate for natural and integrative medicine, I have also trained in other modalities of health to support integrated medicine approaches. I am a Reiki Master Teacher, Qualified hypnotherapist and advocate for doTERRA (medicinal grade) essential oils. As a result of my integrative approach to health, I am able to provide insights, experience, knowledge and expertise to all those I have the pleasure of working with, whether that is through my University role, private clients or everyday conversations.
