She has also utilized her extensive knowledge of herbs and natural cures to operate a natural hair and skincare brand specializing in handmade artisan soap and herbal teas @thesoapothecaryco. As an educator and education management professional, Rice has dedicated her career to improving the lives of residents in all communities by working to ensure that interventions that encourage success in home, school and community remain available. She brings experience and knowledge in education, business management, marketing, and accounting. Rice earned a Masters of Business Administration and Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership with an Administrative Services Credential from Mills College and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California at Berkeley.
