I am passionate about addressing food insecurity families and helping families meet basic needs in the Portland Metro area and have over 10 years of experience in program development and evaluation, systems creation and data collection, volunteer coordination, supervision, community outreach, training and class facilitation, and client-led participatory learning. As a Program Manager at Metropolitan Family Service, I manage a team of staff and volunteers who coordinate all aspects of the Hunger Relief program, providing 1 million pounds of free, nutritious, and culturally appropriate groceries and 300 cooking kits yearly to over 10,000 families. I also provide technical and onboarding support to 18 Family Resource Navigators working across 4 school districts who are helping families meet their basic needs and navigate complex systems of support. In all my work, I strive to deliver high-quality services to families, build positive relationships with clients, partners, and staff, and develop and maintain strong systems and data collection to support the work.
