Team Up identifies kids who have a history of trauma using the Adverse Childhood Experiences scale (ACES) from the Centers for Disease Control. Only 10% of the US population has been exposed to the amount of trauma Team Up participants have experienced. Once a kid is identified, Team Up assembles a support team (mentors, tutors, therapists, transport) that follows the child from age 3-21.Team Up is 1 of only a handful of programs nationwide using this unique model for this unique population of young people. Team Up Mentoring does whatever it takes to foster growth and success. Our goal is that Team Up kids mature into independent adults who give back to their community.
