Grant WriterR&D fundingI offer a grant writing service to technology companies operating in the fields of health, education and green technology. Applying for grants can be incredibly time-consuming and rather frustrating if you’re unfamiliar with the process and I do as much as I can to minimise the time and pain involved for companies.My focus has primarily been on Innovate UK grants, including the Smart Grants programme, though I do assist with other funding applications. My own experience as the founder of a tech startup, plus my knowledge of working in government and my love for writing all come together really nicely so I can help companies take advantage of these extremely competitive funding opportunities. Applications have to be of very high quality and often turned around in short time frames. My applications have secured funding of over £1.75m for my clients. I take time to understand the business and will tailor my offering to not only maximise the chances of success, but also to ensure that the funded projects can be delivered with the best possible impact for the company. Where necessary I will do additional research into market opportunities, develop a project scope and work to build a consortium of project partners. I provide templates for application appendices such as project plans and risk registers, and assist with technical drawings and budgeting. I also offer an ongoing project support service to assist with reporting and grant claims. Arts/Heritage fundingI have taken the lead or supported organisations in the Arts and Heritage sector on a number of successful applications for grant funds and foundations from £5,00 to £200,000. This has involved co-development of projects, assisting with the drafting process, budgeting, appendices and proofreading.
