Pursuing a degree in journalism has been more daunting than I expected, but I've found that the trials that come along with it have provided me growth in a number of different ways. I pride myself in my strong worth ethic that has helped me succeed throughout my college experience. I have always pushed myself to excel in different areas and now find myself very well versed in several different trades of journalism and communications. Strong writing and editing skills allow for a strong base in digital journalism and I've helped in the digital marketing department of multiple companies. Digital marketing is a vague field which concerned me at first, but I found that it allowed me to develop skills in graphic design, social media work and profile writing. Right now I don't want to limit my options for the future, but I hope to stay in journalism and use my skills to better public education and expand the knowledge of the greater public.
