Anna Goodman is a born connector. In her roles spanning event production, marketing, graphic design and logistics, she has brought some of Los Angeles’ top LGBTQ community and charity events to fruition. She has a bachelor's degree in media and communications and has worked in a variety of fields ranging from event production and development, sponsorships and fundraising, media and graphics, to sales and customer care. Anna is currently the Director of Programming for JQ International, an LGBTQ+ and Jewish community programs and services organization, and works freelance producing events for the lesbian and queer community in Los Angeles. Currently, she holds a monthly piano bar night called "Open Dyke Night" at Tramp Stamp Grannies in Hollywood. She is also the former LA events manager for the HER app. Anna recently developed her drag king persona, Dandy Frank in January 2019 and has performed at various events across LA since, including Them Fatale, Magic Dyke, and ManCandy Kings, and also plays Kevin Richardson in the Drag King troupe, The Backstreet Butches. “I think when you’re a part of a marginalized group, you can’t expect that most events and safe spaces are going to appear out of nowhere. As an activist and an event coordinator, I find it extremely rewarding to provide these spaces, keep the community alive, collaborate with other LGBTQ individuals, spread inclusion and continue to raise awareness within our community at large.”
