As a graduate of the editing and publishing program at Brigham Young University, I've completed extensive training in usage, substantive editing, and copy editing and can refine writing in various genres and situations.Throughout my time at BYU, I've engaged in a well-rounded educational and work experience. This experience has included designing, typesetting, copy editing, and substantive editing for a range of genres, including flyers and advertisements, sci-fi/fantasy and horror short stories, fantasy novels, and a historical fiction novella. I've also had the opportunity to provide writing feedback, copy editing, and substantive editing for authors as a volunteer with Leading Edge Magazine, the sci-fi/fantasy/horror journal at BYU. Additionally, my current internship gives me the opportunity to edit academic writing in a professional environment while still receiving feedback and training. My background in creative writing and my substantial editing training have prepared me to refine manuscripts into the best they can be.
