I negotiated faculty collecting bargaining agreements, worked in HR with licensure and onboarding, taught everything under the sun, supported faculty transitioning to remote learning during COVID-19, and spent a decade in workforce development. If your university is using a homegrown or vendor-provided solution to academic workflows, I have already seen it and probably lived it. Please know that whatever you are dealing with, there is a better way.
