Enriching the lives of others is Anne McDonald’s passion, and the driving force behind her successful business ventures. An avid traveler (30+ countries), Anne spent her college summers exploring the globe, from Montana to Germany to New Zealand to Nepal, before beginning her recruiting career. After graduating from the Univ. of Puget Sound with a BA in History and a minor in Politics, Anne moved to Alaska. Working for Princess Tours in Alaska, Anne held various positions from Recruiter to Motorcoach Driver-Guide to Asst Manager of Ops to Director of Port Ops. Returning to Bend, Oregon, Anne stayed in hospitality working as Executive Destination Manager and Dir. of Conference Services. Recruiting soon called her back and, with her innate ability to MSH (make shi* happen), Anne spent the next year and a half at RWJ, where she ranked as the second-highest producing recruiter in the country. With a desire to add to her depth of knowledge in multiple disciplines, Anne continued as Recruiter and HR Manager for Rebound Physical Therapy. Finding great success in recruiting alone, Anne established mcd group in 2007. Through 2018, mcd group placed over 115 candidates in a variety of positions from CEOs to Directors to Managers.Anne’s commitment to her community goes beyond her job as a recruiter and Central Oregon business owner. Along with being a past member of Economic Development for Central Oregon, Anne served on the Board of Directors for EDCO, was awarded EDCO's "Small Business Person of the Year," served on the steering committee and produced the inaugural TEDxBend event, is a co-founder of Empty Bowls and a contributor to Soles4Souls. With Soles4Souls, Anne traveled to India in January 2011 and to Costa Rica in July 2011. Living in Bend since November 1998, Anne continues to enjoy all that Central Oregon has to offer with her Bernese Mountain dog, Molly. When she’s not at the office or traveling the world, you can find Anne backpacking, skiing, camping or hiking in the Cascades.
