My practice is informed by an MA of Education and insights into adult learning, as well as training and experience in using Design Thinking, Appreciative Inquiry, Art of Hosting, Dynamic Governance and the use of creativity techniques and deep play.

The Pattern Language approach helps organizations find success patterns and synthese their implicit knowledge in accessible, visually supported pattern cards. These success patterns are found by interviewing successful practitioner experts about their past challenges and successes and finding the underlying links that weave together their individual stories. Unlike recipes or best practices, patterns allow users to apply a successful solution to various situations and create an interrelated network of knowledge rather than a linear list of to-dos.I started apprenticing in the Pattern Language approach many years ago and have since written and translated Pattern Languages on Social Entrepreneurship, Service Learning, Facilitation and Grass-Roots Movements. My practice is informed by the Pattern Language approach of Christopher Alexander, attendance at Pattern conferences and experience in academic research and publishing.
