Performs the duties of Supervisory Education Services Specialist education Specialist functions and plans, directs, coordinates and reports on the full scope of activities required to accomplish the Army Continuing Education System (ACES) program for the Fort Eustis ACES Service Center which includes Forts Eustis, Lee, Monroe, and Story. Oversees the workload of the Education Services Specialists at assigned education centers, keep in touch on a daily basis to stay abreast of status and progress of work. Give guidance to Education Specialists on specific tasks and job techniques, OJT for newly assigned personnel, approves short term leave requests, resolve formal and informal complaints, provide training of changes in GoArmyEd. Plan and develop yearly budget for the total operation of the education center. Serve as Alternate Contracting Officer Technical representative for all education centers, Counsel military personnel regarding educational goals. Serves as an Education Services Specialist responsible for management of assigned Army Continuing Education System (ACES) program(s) such as basic skills, high school vocational /technical, college levels, English-as-a-Second Language, and foreign language. Responsible for development of Army policy, determination of specific Army wide educational program and service needs, program administration, and review and analysis of MACOM and installation implementation. Develops operating guidance relative to assigned ACES program(s) and makes recommendations for revision. Conducts studies to identify the needs of Army personnel, including the Reserve Components, and the ACES programs that can be utilized or modified to fulfill those needs. Assist HUB centers in the development of educational programs to include needs assessment, teacher qualification, material and facility requirements, curricula, and evaluation techniques, as appropriate. Serve as Test Control Officer for all education centers.
