I'm a former classroom teacher and teacher leader turned program director at Capitol Impact, a social impact consulting firm based in Sacramento and serving all of California. After over a decade serving in California's public schools, I've pivoted to promoting educational equity and opportunity from outside the classroom. At Capitol Impact, I specialize in education and workforce development projects, including Talent Pipeline Management, the Sacramento K16 Collaborative, and the UC Regents 2050 Task Force on institutional growth. Though I'm no longer teaching English language arts and social studies, I'm a lifelong bookworm and US history nerd, passionate about helping youth find and express their voices and situate themselves in their own stories and epic journeys.
