I joined Capitol Impact in July 2024 as a Program Manager, where I oversee the California Legislative Staff Education Institute, focusing primarily on the K-12, Higher Education, and Associate Education cohorts. This role builds on my prior experience working in and alongside the education sector. Before joining Capitol Impact, I served as a Program Manager for Lakeside Church, where I rebuilt a student-first program designed to address critical challenges faced by many Californians, including familial abuse, housing insecurity, mental health struggles, and academic difficulties. Using a strategic framework, I developed and implemented programs that empowered students to overcome these barriers. Earlier in my career, I taught science at a Title 1 school in Watts, Los Angeles, bringing a hands-on, student-centered approach to the classroom. I am deeply committed to fostering growth, opportunity, and wellness for all. My background includes extensive experience in research, curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, grounded in evidence-based practices. I bring a cross-disciplinary perspective to my work, informed by my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Honors Humanities minor from Azusa Pacific University. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me brewing coffee, creating and playing music, or searching for the best food spots in the city.
