Ann graduated as a trilingual translator Dutch, English and Spanish in Belgium in 1989 but she is also fluent in French. Her marriage to Alex was the start of a fascinating international life that brought the couple to North and South America and Asia.With a keen interest in languages, being a born optimist, open-minded, having strong organisational skills and showing a healthy curiosity about cultures, new challenges and adventures, Ann faced a new start each time the couple moved. She had to get acquainted with new environments, new habits, local do’s and don’ts, cultural differences and to build new friendships which forged her into a cross-cultural, rational and creative thinking person with both feet firmly on the ground.In spite of the international moves and all the changes that it entailed, Ann managed to build up professional experience in several countries (see below) and did volunteer work for several associations in South-America, China and, with her passion for music, at the CSU Schwob School of Music in Columbus, GA.After their return to Belgium in December 2013, she and Alex founded Patroklos Belgium in July 2014. She offers office management services and he consultancy services to small(er) companies and start-ups. Just like Patroklos did for Achilles in Homer’s Iliad, they will wear your company’s ‘armor’ and offer the help you need to win the battle.
