Ideas change the world! Every day, I work on bringing the most innovative technologies and ideas to the market.Ever since I was a little kid, I have been intrigued by things on wheels. Pursuing this passion, I completed my bachelor’s in Mechanical and Automation Engineering. Throughout my bachelor’s, I was involved in numerous projects, most notably, leading the bodyworks department of my college’s formula student team and developing a novel refrigerator cum oven for which we won the 1st prize at the Intra-university competition during my final semester.The cocktail of a deep interest in the mechanical sector coupled with an attraction to innovative technologies and a lust for acquiring business acumen led me to pursue a unique 2-year master’s in International Technology Transfer Management from Germany with specializations in logistics, environment, and advanced manufacturing technologies (such as 3D printing). During this period, I got a chance to work on several interesting projects, especially in the field of supply chain management. Like other students, I also worked in diverse part-time positions such as a gardener at an old people’s home which was extremely rewarding and, in the production and packing department for a cocktail manufacturer. The icing on the cake was my internship in project management at WABCO (now ZF WABCO) in Hannover where I took on the role of an interim change manager and worked on streamlining the process and reduced the number of pending changes from 120 to 3 in 4 months! Here, I also got a chance to liaison between various functions such as logistics, production, sales, etc. In addition, I also enjoyed my daily lunches at the company canteen. After moving back to India, I started working for an international advisory firm focusing especially on innovative European and American SMEs. Being a fast moving company, I had a very steep learning curve. My day usually revolves around working with clients to define their product’s/service’s business model, value chain, and go-to-market strategy. In this role, I relish working with people from across the globe, learning from them and helping them define the most optimum plan to bring their product to market.
