Serve primarily as part of a team of Personnel Security Specialists conducting background investigations for federal public trust and national security positions on federal applicants and federal contractors who perform work on behalf of the federal government. Conducting special investigations pertaining to employee and contractor misconduct investigations; periodic reinvestigations of federal employees and contractors; worker’s compensation fraud investigations; fraud, waste and abuse investigations; Treasury Office of the Inspector General (TOIG) referral investigations; other special administrative investigations; conducting investigative inquiries that may lead to criminal investigations requiring referral to the TOIG; and conducting security and suitability adjudications of all reports of investigation for an employee or contractor access to or continued access to the BEP, products and/or processes, a sensitive position or classified information.

Spearheaded and completed National Security and Public Trust investigations from varying complexities for the Department of Treasury (DOT), Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP). Those investigations are needed to gather factual and unbiased information for a proper adjudicative determination within the Federal Investigative Standards (FIS) under OPM’s background investigative guidelines/procedures. Efficiently performed routine and confrontational interviews, which involve eliciting evidentiary information. Conducted comprehensive Subject, Issue, and Source interviews to determine a job applicant’s, employee’s or contractor’s suitability for a position of public trust or national security within the agency. Performed specific interviews, Triggered Enhanced Security Interviews when derogatory information is uncovered, revealing illegal drug use and possession, prior arrests, or any misconduct that would have jeopardized the reputation of the Agency. Participated in numerous interviews and over several hundreds of full-field background investigations. Subjects of these investigations are aware their security clearance and future with the agency depend on the interview, as well as information collected regarding their employment, credit, and criminal history. At times, supporting documents do not corroborate the responses given in the interview, resulting in the denial of the Subject's security clearance or access. I've orchestrated periodic re-investigations of current agency employees as required, ensuring compatibility with continually updated suitability guidelines. Analyzed each case to identify issues involved and evidence required. Establish interrelationship of facts or evidence. Developed resolutions in the face of conflicting discrepant evidence.
