I am an expert IT professional. The department manager for BCBSAL referred to me as "the cream" and I was thought of as one of the top 3 professionals in a department of over 300 programmers. I was the guy they went to when everything else failed. I was the "go to" guy. Many requested me and my "magic wand" as I was always given the projects all others were afraid of, couldn't do or was scared of. Most projects and people typically fit into neat packages, ie accounting, general ledger or what have you. I was given all the work that didn't fit neatly into predefined places. I was given the new stuff no one knew anything about. In 1978 I was asked to move paper healthcare claims to electronic media. In 1985 I was asked to implement national Medicare processing for the SouthEast USA. In 1988 I was asked to write doctor / hospital software for PC's. In 1989, same for pharmacies. In 1990 I was asked to build and manage the corporate LAN/WAN. In 2000 - 2005 move VSAM databases to DB2. In 2008 national 837, 835 transactions to EMR / EMC / EDI. It is a long and seemingly endless list.Specialties: Expert legacy mainframe, COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, TSO/ISPF, IDCAMS, IEButilities, Procedures, Rexx, Panvalet, Easytrieve, Assembler.Highly skilled PC/Server/Networks - Windows (all), IBM's OS/2, Communications.Classroom education Visual Studio 2003, 05.
