Chasing all types of materials, from glass, grout, drills, industrial heaters and sheet metals for windows frames. Visiting sites around London to evaluate priority items to ensure the site is running on schedule. Paying invoices and signing approval certificates. Received internal requisitions from engineers to submit for bidding between 5 different companies requesting packages to be returned in house within a fortnight. I would then liaise with Management and open the sealed bids, accepting the best price and delivery. Once the decision has been made on the most suitable and attractive company bid the order would be loaded onto the Sap system with description and cost of the equipment. I would complete the same exercise for all packages until all orders were placed. If amendments were required we would agree cost and impact to the package with the suppliers. Orders placed, the supplier would send in 1st submission of documents with the rest to follow as agreed in the kick off meeting. Occasionally I would visit supplier works to check on fabrication and delivery dates. Paying invoices and signing approval certificates.

Dec 13 to April 15 Buyer/Lead Expeditor Mariner Project DSME/RDS EngineeringWorking with the client Statoil/Daewoo Shipbuilders & Marine Eng , overseeing the RDS engineers for their approval of drawings and design. Expediting visits to the various valve vendors in Italy and UK. Maintaining delivery dates and shipping materials to site. Clearing invoices and closing orders

Jan 12 to Dec 13 Buyer/Expediter Clair Ridge Project Amec EngineeringWorking with a team of ten other expediters, looking after mechanical vessels, manifolds and steel casting orders with the Project Manager and Requisition Engineer. Liaising with the buyers to clear invoices and approval of documentation. Meetings with our client bi-weekly to go through any problems and improvements to the orders.

Sept 09 to Jan 12 Buyer/Expediter Blake Extension Project Genesis Oil & GasWorking with a team of buyers, despatching out enquires, and order quotes for pricing equipment ranging from £1.000 000 to £3,000 00 per order and agreeing with our client after opening sealed bids. Placing orders with companies after approval and keeping pricing logs to the full total for each supplier. Once the orders are placed commence sending out questionnaires to find out contact names and telephone numbers to progress the orders up to completion. Agreeing milestone payments throughout the contract with the suppliers, ensuring that payments are maintained and on time. Attending meetings with the client on a fortnightly basis to discuss urgent priority materials required on site. Vendor visits arranged at later dates if problems occur and deliveries slip.
