CurrentMy experience in the Coast Guard consists of:- Answering and prioritizing CGFIXIT tickets (the Coast Guard's internal IT ticketing system) for end users. Tickets include incidents pertaining to shared drive related issues, group policy and permissions issues, configuring computers and printers for office and shipboard settings, telephony related issues, etc. - Working with phone systems (AVAYA IP Office, Nortel CS1000, and EON Millennium).- Running structured cabling (running cat5e and fiber through walls, drop ceilings, panel floors, and throughout large boats as well).- Setting up enterprise network\telco closets (everything from UPS's, Routers, Switches, Phone Switches, to the grounding and bonding for the equipment in the closets).- Network administration\Systems administration (Tier 2 Admin) related tasks.- And also troubleshooting basic computer configuration (software and hardware) related issues as well.
