Managed the construction of the structure of a large auditorium utilising a permanent formwork system from groundworks up to roof structure.

Collen Frame, as part of the Collen Group of companies was established to deliver structural frames on general construction projects utilising modern methods of construction with innovative permanent formwork systems.I oversaw all aspects of the projects onsite to work within the budget and programme set for each project.Projects included Crossrail Royal Victoria portal maintenance building, Tesco/residential block in Glasgow, large auditorium in Reading and private developments of apartment blocks in Manchester and London.Trained new installation teams.Helped to introduce a new construction method into the UKWas a Project Manager for the construction of 55 apartments in Harrow.

Contracted for six months to help the Managing Director with finding new ways and highlighting areas within the company to increase its efficiency and create new work procedures.The role evolved as the process continued and eventually I took on the position of Project Manager for the refurbishment and extension of a house in North London from start to finish.Within the short period of time I learned to recognize how the company worked and reported periodically on meetings held between the Director and myself. These were in the form of minutes which showed the issues, thoughts and responses to those issues. Also Company meetings were introduced which helped bring together different departments of the company and shed light on day to day operations and management.My contract finished at the completion of the house.

My responsibility was to establish HD Projects in Perth, Western Australia and to introduce the construction methods of a system that had never been done before. It was a new innovative way of constructing large scale buildings using AFS Logicwall. ( A proprietary formwork system)Responsibilities: Marketing and educating developers, builders, architects and engineers in the new construction systems. The procurement of work, seeking potential clients and building relationships with them for future endeavours. Managing projects (up to $3 million), and reporting and documenting procedures. Providing quotations for tenders and pursuing tenders to win work. Contract Negotiation Cost analysis, budgeting, and invoice management. Running workshops and meetings, addressing all site/industrial issues, company news and Occupation Health and Safety education. Advertising, hiring and recruiting staff for the office, site management and labour. General Management of all operations within the state. Create reporting systems to document and manage daily and weekly progress in order to measure performance against a preset budget and the head construction programme.
