Laboratory duties include- performing analysis on blood and urine samples from the turf club (Curragh). Adhering to chain of custody protocols throughout all processes i.e. sample preparation, extraction (SPE), preparation of samples for analysis by GCMSMS, GCMS and LCMS. Adhering to GLP throughout process. Calibration of Auto pipettes, pH meters and ovens. Performing Elisa on blood and urine samples. Generation of reports for customer from all tests. Head of purchasing for Racing/Chemistry i.e. dealing directly with supplier’s . Generation of PO's, Receiving, storage and internal distribution of consumables/new lab equipment.

Validation of Aquakem (Kone) Nutrient Analysis for Drinking water, surface water and waste water. Testing and monitoring water for pH, Turbidity, Colour, Metal analysis by ICP-MS, COD, BOD, Ammonia, Phosphate, Sulphate, chloride, Alkalinity, Hardness, Micro and conductivity. Perform internal Audits (Lead) on instrument operation i.e. SOP’S, Test Methods etc. (horizontal & vertical), Qpulse Document amendment, data processing by LIMS and external quality assessments (EPA, Aquacheck & QWAS).
