Currently responsible for providing direction and guidance with security requirements in accordance with Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP). Work with Program Management Office (PMO) management and technical staff to ensure system meets AF IT Lean security compliance standards and fulfill specified functional requirements. Create and Review detailed Information Assurance artifacts from PMO representatives for DIACAP compliance and provide inputs to certification and accreditation documents, activities, and meetings with respect to how mission systems implement specific IA controls. Document IA controls in Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS). Facilitate communications between REMIS PMO and Air Force A 4/7 personnel as they function as the validator for Certification & Accreditation. Assist in development, implementation and maintaining strategic technical and operational security plans, diverse security architectures, risk management strategies and security programs. Provide information assurance compliance recommendation to system validator and Agent of Certifying Authority (ACA). Evaluate proposed system changes for system upgrades. Analyze system tests, scans and documentation to determine if proposed changes impact system security baseline. Attend CCB meetings to oversee changes that may impact security baseline.

Define and validate technical security requirements for proposed IT Systems and document system security design approaches and/or determine if system design approaches meet mission security requirements. Facilitate communications between our PMOs and Air Force Network Integration Center personnel as they function as the validator for IT Lean questions at the end of each security phase. Assist in development, implementation and maintaining strategic technical and operational security plans, diverse security architectures, risk management strategies and security programs. Evaluates proposed system changes for system upgrades. Analyze system tests, scans and documentation to determine if proposed changes impact system security baseline. Information Assurance Manager (IAM) responsibilities for several programs under the 643rd include providing assistance to PMOs on the latest regulations and guidance regarding C&A and security to maintain systems within compliance to DoD and AF specifications. Creating Executive Risk Summary and accompanying Urgent Interim Authorization Request for systems not able to complete C&A process by required deadline. Attend CCB meetings to oversee changes that may impact security baseline.
