I currently work full-time in IT, as a Junior Software Engineer and am interested in work centered around IT, programming, software development and data.𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲:I returned to education and achieved a HND in IT Systems Computing and Design. I then secured a role as a 1st Line Technical Support Analyst, was then promoted to Forms Developer and then entered into my current role afterwards.𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬:• Jira - Most of my development tasks are assigned to me through here.• Visual Studio Code/Visual Studio 2022 - I use this daily for updating code based in C languages and file types such as .json, .xml and .yml• GitHub - I am familiar with the GitHub workflow of cloning repositories, creating feature branches (for work in progress) and creating pull requests to merge into potential develop and master branches.• Azure DevOps - I am currently furthering my knowledge of creating/configuring pipelines and their library groups as well as improving my understanding of the CI/CD workflow concerning APIs.𝐎𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬:• I understand the importance of releasing to different environments such as Test, UAT and production as well as the gates at each stage such as developer testing, QA testing, end to end testing and the importance of roll back options (in the event of a failed release).• I would list my key strengths as communication, collaboration and transparency. I appreciate how my contribution affects the wider team, timeliness and I raise issues and ask questions as/when they arise.
