Hands-on Board level Finance Director role in a PE backed, regulated international private medical insurance managing general agent. Responsible for all aspects of Finance across the Group including M&A activity, inward investment, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, planning, forecasting, cashflow management, commercial insight and analysis and cost control. Won 1st prize in Group Finance awards for this project• Designed and implemented a new reporting and controls team in IB Finance, recruiting and training the new team and providing the essential compliance support to the business• Lead the IB Project team in the successful delivery of new FinRep reporting requirements• Delivery of an enhanced regulatory reporting environment across IB estate that met the requirements placed on the Bank by the Prudential Regulation Authority

Responsible for the design, implementation and operation of a robust, efficient and effective financial control function across the global estate of GTS Finance. Reported to the Chief Financial Offer of GTS and managed a team of 12 finance professionals. Key achievements:• Successfully offshored FC team from London to India. Maintained a high level of engagement across the team, created a culture of open communication and joint decision-making. Supported all displaced team members in finding suitable alternative roles • Ensured smooth transition during group re-organisation, carving GTS Financial Control into 3 separate parts that were transferred into new Divisions within the enhanced business model• Conducted the remediation of a high profile group IT payments systems’ issue, ensured that provisioning activities were robust and passed successfully through internal and external audit. Received formal recognition from the CFO and Global Product Head for this activity• Project managed the legal, operational and financial transfer of the UK NV business to UK RBS under a global Banking entity restructure programme that simplified business operations• Successfully executed the sale of the global merchant services business to a third party, ensuring efficient disposal of the business through bank ledgers and systems and safe passage through all audit processes and regulatory checks. • Achieved top scores in staff ‘your feedback’ survey, earning 1st position in the Divisional finance function, just 6 months after creation of team. Responsible for the successful delivery of monthly management accounts for LAF, production of annual statutory accounts for c200 companies and operation of a robust, effective and efficient control framework. Reported to the Finance Director and lead of team of 30 finance staff. Key achievements:• Creation and implementation of a ‘centre of excellence’ for Statutory Accounts production in LAF, which achieved and sustained filing of all statutory accounts at Companies House within deadline• Integrated all finance activities for Channel Islands and Isle of Man business from offshore sites to the UK. This delivered headcount savings and efficiencies including business partnering• Delivery of enhanced control framework across LAF to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley• Successful delivery of accelerated reporting of monthly management information to Business and Group customers. Moved from reporting on WD7 to WD4• Efficiently disposed of the Dixon Motors business to a third party, including removal from the bank ledgers and systems and safe passage through audit processes• Successfully transitioned reporting of the LAF business from UKGAAP to IFRS as part of a group programme.
