With years in the industry, I began my career as a utility locator, honing my skills in identifying and mapping subsurface utilities. My early experience with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and electromagnetic induction was crucial for non-invasive detection of pipelines, cables, and hidden assets. This foundation deepened my understanding of the complexities in subsurface utility mapping and its role in ensuring project safety. After gaining practical locating experience, I transitioned to Lead Estimator for Underground Locating, developing cost analyses and enhancing bidding strategies tailored to underground utility projects. This role set the stage for my next position as Project Manager for Potholing, where I managed complex projects for six months, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. My achievements led to my promotion to Regional Manager, overseeing underground utility locating projects across multiple states for a year and a half. In this capacity, I managed diverse teams and ensured compliance with industry safety and quality standards. I implemented strategic initiatives to optimize operations and improve efficiency while conducting site inspections, providing technical guidance, and facilitating training sessions to ensure teams were well-versed in the latest technologies and best practices. Collaborating closely with clients allowed me to address project concerns and adapt strategies to meet regional regulations, fostering accountability within my teams and increasing customer satisfaction. Currently, as a Subsurface Utility Engineer Manager, I oversee all aspects of subsurface utility engineering, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
