Under direction of the ELC Program/Grant Manager for the Communicable Disease Section of Epidemiology organizes and directs assigned health COVID-19 data analysis activities as the team lead, providing guidance to staff of lower levels and taking the lead in health research-related matters. Independently designs health data projects that are components of a broader research effort and assisting other program staff to develop, conduct, and evaluate data system studies; other duties are revising and updating existing fiscal and programmatic systems to monitor the impact of COVID-19. Developing new methods to organize health data and collection, as well as appropriate criteria and measures to analyze and interpret such data in support of efforts to prevent and respond to COVID-19 and other infectious diseases by gathering, organizing, maintaining and analyzing data from Local Health Departments across the state. Additional duties and responsibilities: • Budgeting and financial management skills • Proven ability to analyze, organize and present information effectively in oral and written form. • Proven ability to analyze data and situations, reason logically, and draw valid conclusions as well as ability to write clear and concise instructions and deliver clear and accurate verbal instructions. • Effective interpersonal skills excellent computer skills with Microsoft office and other project related software programs.
