I fell in love with code.My grandfather and father both owned shipping companies so it felt natural that I would do the same. Traveling the country, meeting new people, growing my business and so it went. I found myself gravitating towards using software to maximize profit, efficiency and solve problems. I felt there were more difficult problems to solve and I wanted to learn to solve them.And so I did; I stopped shipping and started learning. From the onset I knew I had made the right choice. While finishing my degree I joined a start up ISP where we bring fiber to underserved areas of my community. I continue to contribute there part time as I strongly believe in our mission. After completing my degree I found myself gravitating towards consulting. I love building systems that make work easier. It is incredibly satisfying to see the response from a client who was completely unaware that work could be automated or ignored data finally being utilized to provide insight or answer complex questions. This is why I find consulting so rewarding and I thrive in a client facing role.I enjoy working as a part of a diverse team with a wide range of skills. I find it rewarding to contribute, and glean knowledge from team members. I am a lifelong learner and I am enthusiastic about tackling new challenges, learning new systems, languages, frameworks, and principles I can compile into my problem-solving toolbox.
