To care for patients and outcomes, the healthcare industry regularly makes use of various and disparate digitized solutions. However, those solutions often do not connect or communicate with one another which creates an incomplete picture of the patient's condition. Today, health information exchanges (HIEs) around the country serve as interoperability experts to exchange data and close gaps.In Indiana, nearly every hospital shares its clinical information into IHIE’s secure data repository. IHIE then sequences that data from all sources to create a single statewide longitudinal medical record for each patient. Clinicians then access IHIE’s secure repository to view the consolidated patient record and get a complete picture of the patient's condition and care. With its range of interoperability solutions, IHIE works with every health system in Indiana, as well as several others across the country.

Paragon Clinics owns, staffs, and operates primary healthcare centers in a NON-fee-for-service clinical business model. At a Paragon Clinic, full-scale primary healthcare is delivered at no cost to employees and their families, this includes the exam, as well as all labs, procedures, and select medications. By removing the barriers to care (i.e. cost, co-pays, deductibles, access, and hassle) employees are likely to seek care more often, establish a trusting relationship with the Paragon provider, and address small health issues before becoming large healthcare concerns. The Paragon model facilitates patients actively participating in their health and well-being - without the obstacles present in traditional models. This paradigm means that fewer insurance claims (large and small) go through the traditional health plan, thereby significantly reducing the company's healthcare benefit spend. It is a mutually benefitting approach on several levels.
