"THE CONSOLE" @ PayPalIn 2021, PayPal created the Console as a new federated platform for delivering DevOps & SDLC functionality to thousands of internal developers around the world. It provides a frictionless, self-service experience, enabling developers to accomplish their tasks faster with full visibility into the web apps they are building. In addition to working closely with the Console SDK platform team, I also supported dozens of engineering teams across a broad array of engagement activities: active UI design, UX coaching and requirements definition, prototyping feedback and/or assistance, wrote extensive intranet articles on UI patterns and UX guidance, and gave a dozen tech talks. These activities were successful in helping to uplift the UI development skills and ultimately UX quality for thousands of internal PayPal Console users every day. PROGRAMMINGComplementary programming skills enrich UI design capabilities, including web (JavaScript, CSS, React, XML), desktop (C#) and mobile (Swift). Designed and programmed nearly 2 dozen React-based UI controls for PayPal's Console web platform.UXPINPayPal DevOps teams leverage UXPin for creating rich interactive prototypes, using the same UI controls both for prototyping in UXPin and for developing web-based productivity tools on the Console web platform. I imported into UXPin ~50 UI controls (e.g., Buttons, Checkbox, Dropdown, etc.) from the Microsoft Fluent React-based Web library. Designed and programmed an additional ~2 dozen UI controls to accelerate developer productivity that were later incorporated in the Console SDK. Later, created an open source version of the Microsoft Fluent UI library for UXPin customers. PUBLIC SPEAKINGI am a confident public speaker and have given shorter and longer talks on design, usability, and other topics. I've given nearly a dozen tech talks at PayPal for developers. I've also given multiple public demos and talks on leveraging proprietary UI libraries into UXPin to rapidly create rich interactive prototypes, among other topics.PATENTSProfessional achievements include one active U.S. patent.
