I am an Application Scientist at Collaborative Drug Discovery (CDD) Vault where I am handling variety of tasks to support CDD community for their data management using my strong problem solving skills. My background as a multidisciplinary Biological Scientist over 10 years of experience in drug discovery research evidenced by more than 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals and the UNESCO-L’Oreal Young Women Scientist Award strongly enhance my output. This vast experience is being used in my day to day work to help biologists and chemists organizing and annotating their complex assay data around various entities into simplified advanced data management tool based on FAIR principle. My scientific knowledge lies in the molecular microbiology, enzymology, and cellular biology background to impact multiple research projects towards: Data management Hit-to-Lead phase drug discovery Developing new tools/models Target identification Target validation Biological assays Characterization of enzymes Screening new chemical entities Biofuel production Genetic modification/Synthetic BiologyI have handled a great variety of projects for managing and supporting the team to attain goals in their projects using a collaborative problem-solving approach towards the global healthcare system and scientific community. My strong verbal and written communication skills are demonstrated by presentations, demonstrations, 4 invited lectures/oral talks to lay audiences, stakeholders, and key opinion leaders, fostered new cross functional international collaborations, a public engagement talk at Westminster, UK, 4 years of work as a biology tutor, practical demonstration to graduates and postgraduates and raising own fellowship fund of $40,000 plus consumable support. My effective leadership skills are demonstrated by managing state-of-the-art laboratories, coordinating health & safety in BSL-2 and 3 laboratories, and managing the budget for research and teaching grants. I have supervised, trained, and mentored 1 postdoctoral fellow, 2 Research assistants, 4 Ph.D., 4 BSc, 6 MSc, 3 MRes students.
Listed skills include Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Lifesciences, Cell Culture, and 27 others.
