Dash Digital is a rapidly growing digital brand agency. I ensure Dash Digital’s clients receive the best solution both in planning and the delivered solution.Technology moves fast, that’s well known, Dash Digital rely on me to innovate and take projects to greater heights. Particular focuses of mine include optimising sites, JavaScript application development, user experience and accessibility.I’m involved in projects from conception to delivery. Planning forms a vital component of my project, I ensure clients and I remain on the same page, meeting them to best understand their project, producing a specification document outlining our mutual understanding of their business requirements. Being the bridge between client and Dash Digital’s team, I work on functional specifications and user experience flows so the final product is exceeds the client’s expectations.Following agile methodology, working closely with the delivery manager. This includes breaking up all tasks from the specification into epics and tasks - particular within Jira. I keep clients up-to-date how their project is progressing, informing them once their project reaches important milestones.Within the team I’m a point of contact for product questions, ensuring customers needs are being met. From time-to-time I still get my hands dirty on the technical side, reviewing code, pairing with developers, mentoring, and writing high level code to ensure the project is completed on time and within the specification.

Velpic aims to create an LMS like no other. A user-friendly LMS. That’s where I came in. As the Senior User Experience Integrator I worked closely alongside the product owner to define a consistent, usable, user experience throughout the Velpic platform and marketing site.To achieve this goal I created a design framework, including React components and guidelines covering best practices for front end development, that would ensure consistent interactions throughout Velpic. With a consistent design framework in place it enabled the developers to focus more on functionality and less on design consistency across pages. Performance wise, CSS specificity and repetition was greatly reduced. With a stable, consistent user interface, the next step included innovating existing learning experiences, bringing a modern, usable, approach to online learning.Previously I mentioned Velpic’s website. Part of my remit was leading the redevelopment of Velpic’s website. The existing site was developed using Joomla and was laborious to update. I took the site in a new direction, using a continuous deployment approach and developed static site tooling to enable fast, iterative development and releases of the Velpic site. This allowed more modern techniques and a fast, optimised, experience for end users.Additionally there were junior developers working on the site and one of the most enjoyable aspects to my role was technical leadership and mentoring through updating the Velpic website. This allowed junior developers to get their hands dirty and learn a whole range of web techniques from front end, optimisation through to continuous deployment.
