My initial position at AVL was Marketing Director, with the duties of promoting the company's services across Europe. Almond Vocational Link specialises in Free work Placement of undergraduates with local businesses to provide the European students with the opportunity to improve their skills in UK and return to their country of origin with a better chances of employment. My activities included the preparation of marketing letters, emails and follow up by telephone and Skype calls. In addition I had also to take care of the day to day running of the office administration, answer the telephone and any other tasks, including the facilitation of projects and travelling for the purpose of promoting the company's businesses and facilitation of the European Projects.

I have to maintain a portfolio of existing clients in my territory and expand into new ones. So far I have managed to create the presence of our products and solutions into big accounts in the Norther territories of Africa, Greece, Turkie, Egypt. Morocco and Tunisia, besides the main regions of Southern Europe.Working closely wiht existing and prospective customers, to understand their needs and identifying the problems in order to provide them with the most appropriate solution has gained me their trust. They realise that I am not just trying to make a hard sale, and then move on, they see that I am trying to help them identify the pitfuls of their existing systems and find the most cost effective way to cure and resolve their pain. This gentle approach makes the prospective clients more relaxed about my approach as they see me more like a friend rather than a "Sale Person", and this is been beneficial to both. As a sign of gratitude for my assistance in resolving their problems with the implementation of our solutions which has benefitted them in saving time and money, has resulted in providing me with their permission to write and publish their "Case Studies" on our Website.

Teaching Italian language for beginners and advanced to adults at Estover Community College and Lipson Vale Community College, In 2006 I provided my services to Swarthmore Community college as a CGSE Italian teacher for the full year, and all my adult students achieved their A* pass, I had a mentioning of my success in the Education paper, for which I have saved a copy for posterity.I provided also ICT courses (RSA Clait and Getting to grips with computers) to adult education at Lipson and Estover Community College. My students passed their exams, achieving the RSA CLAIT certification. I also devised and designed from scratch the "Getting to grips with computers" course which proved to be very successful and during my adults teaching career I provided my services to some female students form the WI (Women Institute Plymouth).Another course I devised and designed from scratch for adult education was the "Italian cookery course, which was also very successful, having full attendance in every class. I provided this course the the whole period indicated by the dates above, to Estover, Lipson and Stoke Damerel Community College.

I have been representing a german publisher called Netviewer, which provides Remote access and Webinars solutions. During my time at Avanquest I was able to work with consultants at a Oil Drilling Service Provider in Aberdeen, who needed to have remote access to their servers and systems on remote drilling platforms. After many meetings with the client's consultants and technical people, to study in depth their requirements and meetings the publisher's programmers at Netviewer HQ in Karlsrue Germany, this project was completed with a successful sale and implementation of a bespoke Solution, which resolved the client's long going problems. Netviewer solutions were well implemented also in many other types of business, who needed to have the solution for remote support to their client's base, or institutions and training agencies who needed to conduct a Web-training whit students or employees.

My duties in the first year of teaching in main stream schools was to cover teachers absence, for determined periods in either primary schools or Community colleges.During 1990 I was appointed by Stoke Damerel Community College as a French and Spanish language teacher on a point 7 scale and completed the full year.A part from teaching my duties included the preparation of teaching materials and lessons, delivery of lessons, marking, assessments of progress for each pupil and parents evening. Meeting with head of year and head of languages and any other administration duties that were required from time to time. As it was the first year of teaching languages in a main stream educational institution, I found the position very demanding as I had to prepare all the various materials, slides, flash cards, handouts, and any other material that I thought would make foreign language learning more interesting and keep the attention, interest and concentration of the pupils in each year, plus materials for the SEN and any other students with slow learning progress. It was however a very interesting and positive experience which provided me the necessary knowledge and confidence to go onto teaching languages, ICT and Italian cooking to adults during and after my two years full time course in HND BTec in computer studies at University of Plymouth.
