I am the founding CEO of a not-for-profit social enterprise created in 2019 to serve the communities of western Sydney and the Blue Mountains operating Ambrose® early childhood education and school age care centres in more than fifty Catholic primary schools. Ambrose services prepare preschool children for lifelong learning, and create opportunity for school age children to develop their social skills in an experiential, play-based learning environment.Previously a senior Executive with Telstra, I have deep experience with delivering large, multi-year (c.$2B p.a.) network & information technology investment programs, including complex cross-company organisational and digital transformation, reporting at different times to the Telstra COO, CIO/CDO and Chief Network Engineer. I have represented Telstra’s CEO as a Governor on the Sydney University Engineering Faculty Industry Foundation.I hold Bachelor degrees in Engineering (Hons) and Science, a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) and am a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). My experience in corporate governance in a volunteer capacity on the Business Advisory Committee of Youth Mission Team Australia has led to re-structuring this association for long-term sustainability.I derive success from building trusting personal relationships and strategic partnerships, having a strong sense of service to others, and a belief in the dignity of the individual - that we are equals but as a leader I appreciate our different roles, needs and personal circumstances then adjust my approach to create opportunity for all to excel.As well as my professional life, I am a fortunate husband, dad and papa who enjoys the social aspects of weekend cricket as an undiscovered all-rounder!
