Apo’s experience spans over 30 years of leadership roles in operations, strategy, revenue management, sales and marketing, distribution, and business intelligence. His hotel management career started as a student at a Hotel Management Vocational High School at age 15. Apo is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Intelligent Hospitality, a hotel analytics and business intelligence company. Prior to founding Intelligent Hospitality and developing HotelIQ Decision Cloud®, Apo was based in Dubai, UAE, where he held the position of Chief Commercial Officer for Jumeirah Group. In this role, he was responsible for Market Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Brand Management & Strategy, PR & Corporate Communications, Distribution and Revenue Management for the group. Prior to Jumeirah Group, Apo worked in senior corporate sales, marketing and revenue management positions with high profile international hospitality companies including Hilton Hotels Corporation, Cendant Corporation and InterContinental Hotels Group.Apo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management. He also earned his Master’s degree from the Florida International University, Chaplin School of Hotel Management in 1995. Subsequently, he did his doctoral level work in Applied Economics at Ohio State University. Apo’s extensive global experience in the strategy, branding, operations, sales, marketing, distribution and revenue management fields of the hospitality industry covers multiple brands and industry segments, ranging from luxury hotels to select service properties.
